CHASE PRESS RELEASE - Tuesday 14 April, 2009
PLANT AND BAKE SALE TO START FUNDRAISING FOR INCINERATOR ORAL HEARING

The An Bord Pleanala Oral Hearing in relation to the Toxic and Municipal Incinerators proposed for Ringaskiddy is due to start in less than two weeks, commencing at 11am on 27th April 2009 at the Cork Airport Hotel.

To kick start fundraising for the significant costs involved, CHASE are organising a Plant and Cake Sale in Carrigaline GAA Hall on 8th and 9th of May.

CHASE are appealing to all keen gardeners currently pruning and thinning to pot up any excess plants, seedlings, vegetables, herbs or annuals and donate to the fund raiser. Cakes or other baked goods would also be welcome, and these can be dropped to the GAA Hall on Friday 8th or Saturday 9th May.

CHASE Chairperson, Mary O'Leary said "We urge people to support our fundraising in whatever way possible. The Oral Hearing will cost a lot of money which is an additional burden on the community, at a difficult economic time."

Anyone who put in a submission is entitled to speak at the Oral Hearing which is expected to run for two weeks.
