Bus leaves Ringaskiddy Community Centre at 8.30 a.m.

“In aid of anti - incinerator campaign, Proceeds to support the legal costs of the Supreme Court challenge”

Minimum sponsorship for participation: 100 euro.

Kenmare to Killarney walk would be considered a medium grade walk, incorporating mostly track and road. Organisers are not responsible for loss of property and / or any injuries sustained during the event. Participants are advised to wear suitable clothing and footwear, and a packed lunch with a warm drink and water is recommended.

Saturday 23rd September, 2.00-6.00pm
Open Garden Day at Ballymaloe Cookery School

Tours of the very fine garden, and cake, plant, bric-a-brac and food stalls. Things for the children to do, ten minute talks on food, lifestyle and other interesting topics, and teas prepared by the Cookery School will make for a fun and informative afternoon.

Entrance will be €10 per adult. Enquiries 021 4652429. The Open Day is in aid of CHASE and the East Cork for a Safe Environment No Incinerator campaign.

Farm walks and Farmers market

Open day on Caroline and Eddie Robinson's chemical-free farm near Cloughduv. Farm walks every half hour - fresh wholesome produce at the Farmers’ Market - light refreshments.

Entrance fee 5 euro – all proceeds to CHASE.

Directions - Look out for Farm Walk signs on the left, 9 miles west of Ballincollig, along the N22 towards Macroom.

Get rid of your FOOD WASTE and turn it into superb GARDEN COMPOST
Learn about the latest quick-fix techniques with Ayako Ozaki on the benefits of EM (effective microorganisms), Natasha Harty on home composting with Bokashi, and Niall McCormack, Element Green Solutions, will demonstrate wormeries.

We would love some of our members to run/walk in the Mini Marathon and raise much-needed funds for CHASE. Get local sponsorship and wear the CHASE t-shirt to promote awareness. The race takes place at 2pm on Sunday 19th September.

Breathe Easy, Walk and Picnic - Walk the right of way across the incinerator site and come together for a picnic, music, and chat with others who share your concerns about our environment. Meet at the car park by the beach in Ringaskiddy, at 2pm on Sunday 12th. Bring food, drums, and music to share. Families and kids welcome.

To mark the Global Day of Action against Incineration (GAIA), CHASE is supporting the VOICE National demonstration in Dublin on Saturday 4th September. In line with the National 'Down to Zero' campaign, we want to bring individuals, communities, local and national groups together and send a strong message to the Government. Groups from around the country will assemble, in county colours and deliver their messages to the incoming new government ministers.

C.H.C. Ireland (Consumers for Health Choice) are making a donation to the Monkstown, Passage West, and Glenbrook branch of CHASE to assist in the campaign against the proposed toxic Incineratior for Ringaskiddy.
CHC Ireland was set up in 1999 in response to the Government’s decision to put St Johns Wort on prescription. Since then we have lobbied the Minister for Health. We were represented on the National Health Strategy Consultative Forum 2001. We have achieved freedom of choice for the comsumer-.complimentary medicine is back in its rightful place. A formal framework has been set up to protect the consumer and the practitioner.
