Irish Examiner - 06/12/05 CORK people must realise that the toxic waste incinerator permitted by the Environmental Protection Agency for Cork Harbour is, in fact, equipment for the processing of toxic substances and hazardous materials (not domestic waste). And toxic means containing poisons. Poison goes in and poison must come out it doesn't just magically disappear. Irrespective of what form the end product takes (gas or ash), it will still contain poisons. And of course there's always the possibility of an accident on site. Shame on the EPA's decision-makers.
